We are going to start 2016 off with the potent sativa strain, Jack the Ripper. The parent flowers of Jack the Ripper are Jack’s Clearer (sativa) plus Space Queen (hybrid). Jack the Ripper has a pungent and strong lemon smell with a distinct earthy wood hint. Just from looking at the nugs, it is apparent that Jack the Ripper is a gift from Earth. The appearance of Jack the Ripper is light green with dark green specks and brown hairs throughout the buds. Nugs are lengthy, medium-sized buds that are dense and spongy. When you light this sweet herb you will notice that the citrus flavor is profound and robust. Jack the Ripper provides a powerful, cerebral high with thought-provoking effects that make you feel meditative. Like a time-release pill, the high tingling sensation slowly takes over your body over time. When high, you will experience boosts in mood and energy levels, which makes this a good choice when dealing with fatigue, depression, or stress. It is like an all-natural Adderall. You will find that traits of this strain cause focused, uplifted, and energetic effects—the same reasons many take Adderall, except this has way fewer side effects. That’s for another time though. I found that Jack the Ripper was good to use during studying and writing papers. I always catch myself cleaning or making the room tidy while high on Jack the Ripper. Expect to also feel happy and very giggly, and when smoking with friends I tend to feel chatty. Due to the amount of cerebral activity that goes on with this strain, you may find yourself paranoid as well as dizzy. Don’t worry; these sensations are apart of the experience. The quicker you can realize and tell your body this, the better off you will be. So if you experience this just try to relax; it will go away soon. Expect to experience your typical cotton mouth and dry eye sensation, so keep the water and eyedrops handy. Happy Tokens!!
